Analysis of pole

From looking at the results from my pole i now have a better idea what to include in my music magazine. From looking at my results i have now found the title for my music magazine as it got majority of the votes my title is going to be called 'UNCUT'. I also found out what most people buy a music magazine and people voted interviews so i will now add an interview in my magazine. I also found out how much people are willing to spend on a music magazine and the result was £2=3. Most people voted that they only buy a magazine once a month. Most people that voted on my pole for the best colour scheme voted for red, black and white and this is my personal favourite anyway. The majority of votes to there favourite genre was rock and that has made me decide to do rock as i was not sure which one to do out of rock and RnB. The age of people voting were majoritily in the age bracket of 13-7, and had an evan amount of men and women taking the questionaire.
'Coulour scheme ideas' Baby blue, Pink white. this is one of my least favourite colour schemes and i will not be using this in my final product due to it being a bit girly.

Red White Black. this is my favoutite colour scheme and i would definitely use this colour scheme as my final product as the colours go well and many magazines use this colour for example Q and NME.

Black, Yellow, Navy Blue. This colour scheme goes well and i have seen it in many magazines and wouldnt mind using it in my final product as a colour scheme.

Black, White. This colour scheme will go well as it is only 2 colours and they mix very well, i do not like this colour scheme as much as the other ones as it is very boring and not very eye appealing.

Maslows hierachy of needs is often potrayed in the shape of a pyramid. With the largest and lowest needs at the bottom and the need for self acyualization at the top (every day life events). The four lower layers of the pyramid are call deficiency needs physiological, security of position, friendship and love, and esteem. With the exception of the lowest (physiological) needs, if these "deficiency needs" are not met, the body gives no physical indication but the individual feels anxious and tense. Physiological needs are essential to life every animal including humans can not survive without these things. Safety are things u do in order to stay alive, you do not need these things to stay alive but it helps. Love/belonging are events in your life you want to have. Esteem are things you want to achieve like the respect by others and confidence and achievement. Self actualization is the level of need pertains to what a person's full potential is and realizing that potential. Maslow describes this desire as the desire to become more and more what one is, to become everything that one is capable of becoming.

The purpose of a contents page is to give the reader a bit of information of what is inside and where to find it. This is my third and final analysis of a contents page. A contents page has to be structured well and eye catching so the reader is glued in, this magazine is has a different layout to all the other contents pages i have analyzed. This one has many pictures and only a little writing even though there are many pictures it doesn't look cramped. The reader is immediately drawn to the pictures as there is not much writing to be focusing on. This enables them to be more involved with the magazine. The main three colours are yellow, white black and dark blue. These colours mix well and makes a good colour scheme the colours present the magazine well, the repeated use of the colours sustains its appearance. The white background contrasts with the colours making the pictures stand out. All the pictures are hardcore rockers. Although all the images are the same genre of music they all represent as a different style for example the middle picture is for more hardcore rock and the top right picture is for people that like more calm rock with bands.
The purpose of a contents pages is to give the reader a bit of information of what is inside and where to find it. This is my second analysis of a contents page, this contents page is very neat and is easy to follow what the page consists of are in black and the numbers are in red to make it easy to know what your reading and to navigate through the magazine easily. the writing is split into sections which makes it look neat and tidy. The white background is successful as it does not allow the reader to be distracted and all their focus will be on the text. The main picture is of Astoria which is a club venue. This links in with a music magazine as its where people will go to listen to all the new music. The picture has been anchored underneath the writing. The main three colours are red, white and black these colours mix well and all have a purpose the red id used to make the writing stand out the white is used so the black stands out. The contents page also has a band index for the convenience of the usual reader or for the new reader to look at a band they may have seen on the front cover. The subscription information has a black background so it stands out and the usual buyers would like to subscribe so they save money this is a good tactic to get extra readers because if the buyer thinks they are getting a deal they will buy it. On the contents page it says "the UK's No1 Gig Guide" this will make the reader buy the magazine if they know its the best on the market.
